Honestly have always wondered about the ships before NX 01 since Starfleet existed since I think the 2130s? For that matter, the ships right after ENT.
It's not a firm date in canon, but 2132 is commonly used as the charter date of the Earth Starfleet. It's the date I use.

Does that mean it predates United Earth? Because I think TNG said that was formed in 2150 though I think Voy and ENT kinda contradict that
And FC implies there's already a world government by 2113, but my guess is the United Earth Starfleet happens around the time the world government consolidates.

This is where the "world government in 2150" thing originates. It can be interpreted literally, or loosely as in, "what if Australia in some alternate history hadn't joined the world government just 11 years before the Federation was founded?" As in....did it really join in 2150? Or is it just a completely fictional scenario Beverly contrives to make her point about the Kes and the Prytt?

Good points, though I'm just guessing the insinuation is the United Earth gov was founded in 2150 but yeah I prefer the FC onwards assumption
My head cannon for Wolf 359 is that Hansen pulled a Rolling Thunder attack.
Yeah I know all of that, I did say there were some tweaks involved.
I believe Memory Alpha interprets the scene as saying the last holdouts joined United Earth in 2150. Before 2150, United Earth existed but it didn't hold total claim to the planet. There were still areas which maintained independence. We know from Enterprise the UK's Royal Navy still exists in the 2150s. If countries are still maintaining their own militaries, what exactly are those militaries supposed to be protecting their countries from if Earth was already united under a world government?
I've always wondered if maybe Starfleet predates United Earth and was originally an American agency that was absorbed into United Earth when the United States (or whatever government representing the present-day U.S.) became a member.
It would explain Starfleet being based in San Francisco, the "USS" moniker on Starfleet's ships as being a vestige of when Starfleet used USS to designate them as American ships, and why Starfleet mainly uses the customs and traditions of the U.S. Navy.

Except better. I love Spielberg, but the latter just isn't his best film. It's not even on my list of his best movies about aliens.
I've seen it once already and If it had only started with the disclosure, and then the aftermath of that. Spielberg's movie feels a lot generic and lazy
Disclosure Day is a combination of some genuinely terrific scenes and a lot of tedious, unmotivating stuff tossed in to pad out the movie. It's not BAD, but it also isn't that great.
Personally I felt it was very generic
I expected and wanted more, and damn, it just didn't deliver most of it. I know Close Encounters is the highest of bars to set for alien and UFO contact movies, but this one doesn't even come close.
The baddies were kind of comical. The final act head baddy just slumps into a chair wtf?
The Trappist 1-e Shipyard that we saw in "Kids These Days" was established after the destruction of Utopia Planitia. Probably abandoned during the Burn era and recommissioned when the Federation began its post-Burn recovery phase post-Discovery season 3.
One bit of my personal head canon that I think is supported by on screen evidence is that the very first Federation starship was the USS Dauntless NCC-01.
It makes sense because otherwise the Voyager crew probably would have realized something was off when Arturis showed up with a fake Dauntless NX-01-A.
Since the Enterprise NX-01 was never actually a Federation starship and used an entirely different registry system, it stands to reason that the fake Dauntless was named after an earlier Federation Dauntless with the registry NCC-01.
It makes sense because otherwise the Voyager crew probably would have realized something was off when Arturis showed up with a fake Dauntless NX-01-A.
