What is the official status of Taran'tar?

I've seen it referred to a time or two in recent DS9 related novels but I don't recall actually reading it, or the details.

Is this one of the many things that happened after the abrupt end of the DS9 relaunch that have been alluded to but not detailed?

Memory Beta says that Taran'atar's last known status was this:

Its never actually said what happened to him. From what I've gathered:

- Last seen heading towards the Even Odds
- The Even Odds was involved in some sort of disaster
- Kira assumes Taran'atar to have died.

- He appears to Kira at the end of Revelation and Dust.

That's a shame. I hope someone finds a reason to use him again. He has a lot of potential

What a bad rap this guy got. I hated him for harming Kira (who I love) but once it became clear what happened, I felt so bad for the guy.

Hmm he was last seen in Revelations and Dust and it was a plot left hanging. I'm sure he'll be back somehow and I'm sure David Mack knows how or when.

Agreed. I was really enjoying his arc up to the point where he became a patsy.
