What is Porky trying to say?

At the end of various Warner Brothers cartoons Porky the Pig comes out of the circle attempts to say something but settles on "That's all folks!"

Usually when we hear people or Porky stutter it's often that they're trying to say a complex word, can't get it out and just say the next closest thing. So what is Porky trying to say at the end of his toons, or is just having a hard time even saying "that's all folks!"

It was often rendered onscreen as "Th-th-that's all, folks!" While it's true that part of Porky's schtick is to give up on a harder word and substitute a simpler one, that's not the only way he ever does it. Sometimes he does manage to get out what he was trying to say the first time, and this is one of those cases.

That clip gets me every time. And before anyone asks, yes it's real! It was created for a gag reel back in the 1930s or 40s that was intended to be shown at studio parties and never released to the public.

Considering you posted it and it's on YouTube someone got it from somewhere so it seems to me it was released to the public.

I always assumed Porky was trying to say "That's All Folks" he just got hung up getting all the syllables out.

Yes, it was part of one of the “Breakdowns” reels that Warner Brothers compiled in the 1930s and ’40s, consisting of gags, bloopers and outtakes. They were meant for industry “insiders” and only became publicly available decades later.
