What is it with the 'Ent" forum?

Today is Friday, 2/21, it is 1:07 Western Pacific Standard Time. Most days when I log on at this time (or any other, pretty much), this forum has the least number of people by far, browsing.

But today there are 51 people in here. A couple of weeks ago I logged on at this time and there were 46 people. Both numbers far exceed, (and exceeded) the number cruising the other Trek show forum's at the same time. Usually the number in here is less than 10.

It's just weird.

Oh yeah. You're not crazy or imagining that. I've seen it happen before. Very weird.

It's like... hey, we're Enterprise fans, we're silent but deadly.

It's kind of why Romulans would've been the perfect ongoing big bad.

(In reality, somebody probably posted an obscenity and it attracted search engine attention.

Or else mentioned Edward Snowden and those 50 guests all work for the US Government.)

Anyhow, first rule of Enterprise Club... You don't talk about Enterprise Club. :D

ENT has the most recent Blu-ray release. Makes sense.
Not really. I don't know when the Blu Ray release occurred but why were there 46 peolple in the forum two weeks ago followed by days and days of normal activity of about 4 or 5 people and now back up to 51?

Everyone can relax. No need to suck in that gut, or smooth down any rebellious tuffs of hair.

Focus is off. It's the Original Series forum's turn to get exactly 52 looking in.

It's easily the weirdest thing that has ever happened.

A lot of the numbers you see are spambots trying to register/post and they dramatically run up the count. At The Omega Sector, the number of people connected to the site often exceeds the actual number of members and I'm pretty sure there aren't that many lurkers.

That's gotta be it. Thanks.

Yes, always assumed it was spambots. I remember one day there were 88 people in this forum and the other forums all had figures in the teens.

But a few months back, there was a lot of users (50+) on VOY forum one day because someone tweeted Robert Picardo, directing him to a post calling him as great an actor as Patrick Stewart or something. Maybe the same sort of thing happens down here.
