What if your boss tried to pay you with gum,instead of money/

I think everyone here has proably seen that trident commerical. Were the people are happy to get gum instead of money except for the sad asian guy who gets all down because nobody will pay him with gum.

Would you be willing to take gum as your payment for the work you do? As much as I like gum the answer for me is no. I rather get money and use some of it to buy my own gum. Only a fool would take gum as payment. I would be open to dvd's as payment though instead of money but I would need alot of dvd's for it to equal out to the amount of money I would be loosing.

Only way I could see this working is if the economy totally crashed and gum became rare... I'm not sure I could store all that gum without it spoiling.

GI's in World War 2 would use candy, cans of gas, cigarettes, and other common US Army items to trade for stuff.
