What if Star Trek III was a Peter Davison Doctor Who story? The Fifth Doctor and the TARDIS crew rescuing Adric and the Doctor destroying the TARDIS to prevent the Daleks from taking it.

The only problem I see with your idea is, who the hell wants to save Adric? The guy's basically the Wesley Crusher of the Who-verse.

No offense, but I don't get this particular brain fart. The only answer I can come up with it that it would be a pretty senseless sequel to Star Trek II.

If Star Trek III was a Doctor Who story, it wouldn't have any of the Star Trek characters in it.

It would, however, probably have a lot of Doctor Who characters.

It would be a sequel to "Earthshock." But no, it wouldn't work--hard to believe, but the TARDIS is even more of a character than the Enterprise. It's one thing to sacrifice an insensate ship that has been completely remade anyway and can be replaced with another just like it to "save" (actually, as a cloned body with a Xerox copy soul, Spock 2 is only a little more Spock 1 than E-A was E-Prime but that's a metaphysical discussion) a beloved main character who'd been with the show since before Kirk, another to kill a quasi-sentient Type 40 TARDIS the Doctor's had for centuries to save one of his countless companions.
