Anyway, here's my response: It would've been kickass. I mean, the battle pretty much hinged on the presence of an Ambassodor class ship in the background, am I right? AM I RIGHT?!

See No Limits, specifically the short story "Making a Difference" by Mary Scott-Wiecek to find out exactly what happened to the Ambassador-class U.S.S. Excalibur in that battle.

It wouldn't have made a lick of difference, the fact that the Enterprise was immedately attacked as soon as it entered the battle makes me think that if an Ambassador class was there, probably the biggest ship in the battle group, it would have been a primary target and probably not survive.

Plus all those little ships that were fast but got caught in the explosion, no way could an Ambassador class get away quick enough unless it was extremely lucky.
