Resident evil 4 is the best resi game imo so the remake is my favorite of the remakes so far naturally.
So, I've been playing Children of Morta. This is against type for me as I'm not usually into rogue-likes, but this one is very good. Perhaps it's the different characters and their different abilities, but there is something quite engaging about leveling up each family member and unlocking new abilities, some of which affect the entire family. I'm usually put off by the repetitive nature of rogue-likes, but here I don't seem to mind the grind. Being able to finally beat a level's boss feels satisfying.
Finished Super Bros 8. Thank fuck for save states, those NES games are utterly ruthless.
Might & Magic VI. To this day I don't know if I like this game or absolutely hate it. Every single mechanic pisses me off in some way, and the entire game hinges on knowing which spells/builds to use to make the entire thing trivial, and yet I'm still happily spending hours upon hours mechanically clearing every dungeon.

Super Mario Eclipse. I stalled my replay of Sunshine years ago, and this fan mod adds tons to the original game as well as pathways between the worlds. It's a lot of fun. Sunshine always felt off and flawed to me, being the follow-up to a genre-defining masterpiece (and my favourite game ever) that's... pretty good but not great. Now it's fresh again and I am enjoying it more.

Playing Elden Ring for the first time. Borrowed it from my local library lol
anyone play the shadowrun series/trilogy? I used to love the SNES version (despite its flaws). would appreciate a synopsis if anyone has, thanks!
They're decent games though they're a bit lightweight mechnically. Shadowrun Returns is basically just a gameplay demonstration with a minimal plot; Dragonfall and Hong Kong are the bigger story-focused campaigns.
Both of them will live or die on whether or not you like the writing since the combat and exploration, while decent, are pretty basic. It does successfully capture some of the mood of the tabletop game, though the characters can be a bit annoying (then again, I found the Mass Effect companions annoying, so don't take my word for it
). Dragonfall's worth a try and probably pretty cheap to get nowadays, most people agree it's the best of the three.

I played all 3 several years ago, and I agree. I think I got them all for free via GOG. I found them to be a bit clunky to be honest. I felt like they presented some interesting ideas but were never fullly fleshed out to take advantage of them.
Final fantasy XV pocket edition, the chibi style takes some time to get used to. I tried watch the let's play of the ps4 edition but the reputation of being a massive road trip game was not exaggerated
Just finished getting an S+ Professional on RE4Remake Separate Ways (scraped by with ten minutes to spare and no more saves). Trying to work up the nerve to attempt an S+ Pro run of the main game, but am dreading to Del Lago fight, which I suck at. Have also been playing Ni No Kuni II. Had it for years and never finished it, so am determined to get that done. Enjoying the kingdom management stuff and recruiting people. And hey, an RPG with an overworld world map! I miss those.

Gotham Knights is 80% off on Steam, so I got that one. I wasn't sure if it would run on my PC but it seems fine. I did turn the graphics settings down a little to make it smoother.
I know it has mixed reviews, but it seems enjoyable enough to me so far.
I understand gamers were expecting it to be like the Arkham series, and were disappointed when it didn't meet those expectations. I only ever played the first Arkham game, and I got stuck on a boss fight with Killer Croc in the sewer.

I liked Gotham Knights for the atmosphere but got bored with the gameplay. Haven't touched it for ages, I think I removed it off steam.
I took the plunge and finally installed Stellar Blade. It's been sitting there for what feels like forever in my steam list
