Check the suggested retail price of the upcoming season 1 HD-DVD release and that might give you a clue.
Cheers

I seem to recall a figure of c. $200,000 per episode being tossed around back around the time the first remastered episode aired, but that was a long time ago, I've got no idea how to check it now and I may be completely misremembering it, anyway.roger1999 said:
Just a wild guess. Figure 10 guys making 100k each = $1 million peryear. Double that for overheads = $2 million. If they do 26 episodes in a year, it comes to $77,000 per episode. But, the team may be more or less than 10 (I suspect someone knows) and they may earn more or less than my estimate, and my overhead estimate may be totally wrong
: )
Again, just a wild guess.

If it's a modification/re-use of an existing shot, like changing a planet color, it'll go faster and cheaper than creating a new shot from scratch. Re-used shots save them money to spend on the new ones.
