What Do You Collect, TOS-Wise?

15800wj.jpg
I have these also! And the new Diamond 1701 (remastered) when available in December!;)

I collect Prop Replicas. Um, DST Replicas anyways. I have the Tricorder, Communicator and Phaser. I also have a Playmates toys Communicator.

I have collected all tos master replica props! The phaser, communicator and tricorder! I have tos klingon disruptor as well as the assault phaser from st5 and st6 also from master replicas! I have the life size original series captains chair from Diamond select along with alot of their toy props as well! I own a original sttmp starfleet uniform made for the first movie. My favorite collectable is a reproduction of tos third season command tunic with very acurate pains and woundeful boots. Oh I forgot one thing I have the master replicas studio scale original series enterprise that is 33 inches long. I really like that one!

I used to collect everything when I was in high school, 15 years ago; now with a family I only collect the hallmark ornaments, and a ship or two for my desk.

Hiya, folks.

What, if anything, do you collect or treasure from TOS?

I've never been a big action figure or model guy. What I collect is scripts, preferably first drafts or story treatments. I love to see how the stories developed and details changed from idea to draft to final draft to filmed episode. Fascinating stuff.

I also spend waaaay too much time coming up with my own covers for the scripts, trying to find just the right iconic image to encapsulate the episode.

Right now, I'm stuck on finding something for the first draft of "A Private Little War." Other than the Mugatu treating Kirk like luggage at the airport, I got nothin'.

Anyway, what do you collect from the show?

Joe, dork

DVDs and Bly-Eat discs, it seems over the last few years. ;) (I also have a few Star Trek related coffee mugs, and on of the drink glasses from Quark's (Las Vegas).

OH! I also have a Vulcan IDIC pendant & Science officer emblem from Lincoln Enterprises back in the day.
It's a seventies thing.;)

My collection's not super exciting.

1) I pick up Star Trek Technical Manuals/Concordances/Chronologies when I find them and give them away as presents.

2) I collect Star Trek blueprints from the 70s.

3) I have a huge collection of Star Fleet Battles SSDs, many home grown, but that's not exactly collectibles.

4) I collect Best of Trek books when I find them. I'd love to get the old original mags.

5) I collect pictures of Crewman extras and put them on my website :) www.sdfo.org/tos

6) I collect Trekkie friends.

I guess that's about it.

Assorted little doo-dads, but one day what i hope to have is that original domed lunchbox. Now THAT is a thing of beauty!

doo dads and a couple of the little lunchboxes thingies (hallmark and a newer one and a couple really beat up old ones) but I'm still saving my pennies for the roundtop - It's just a matter of priorities - when I find an extra $400 for that I'll own it!!! Really, what better combination could be found - two of my very great loves: lunch and Star Trek all contained in a metal container. Pure bliss! :rommie:

I've never been a big collector (where can you put it all?), but even that has tapered off over the years.

I use to collect (and read) TOS based novels, but I've given up on them several years ago. They just can't hold me anymore, although I still treasure (and occasionally reread) the older ones I have. I've also collected some reference books over the years as well as behind-the-scenes stuff like Inside Star Trek by Justman and Sollow.

I've got the Art Asylum phaser and I'm getting the communicator. I've got an AA TOS E as well as some Polar Lights TOS E and Klingon Battle Cruiser. I've got an AA Kirk in his command chair.

I'd LOVE a Master Replicas TOS E, but I may have to settle for the 1/350 scale model kit when it's eventually released.

I have the three seasons in DVD season sets, the original episodes and not TOS-R, no thank you. I've got the TMP DE and TWoK DE on DVD as well as TAS. I may pick up TSFS-TUC just for the hell of it, but no way in hell am I throwing money away for ST09.

Back in the day, books and blueprints. Nowadays, the Art Asylum/Diamond Select props like the phaser and communicator (looking forward to the upcoming tricorder). I got my fill of Trek models/figures/ships back in the 70s/80s, but these are cool, full-size props that you don't have to build/paint, they're cheap, and they actually do stuff. I love 'em!

Hey, I got those too! I also have the tricoder, you know the one like Spock has. I also have about 4 or so novel books based of TOS and novels of TWOK and TVH. And I have a couple of comic books, 8x10 photos from the espsoides, TOS Season 1 on blu ray, The Best Of TOS dvd, TOS motion pictutre movie set on blu ray, a signed 8x10 photo of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. I'm also still adding to my collection little at time.

We've got lots of the novels, all TOS on disk, some of the old blueprints and various tech manuals. Got the Star Fleet Battles desktop game from like 35 years ago (great game, that).

Mostly, we write fan fic and collect what we write.

Oh yes, one thing. The Star trek encyclopedia which is so used up it's falling apart. Not really a collectible.

Besides the DVDs there really isn't a whole lot that I collect. I'm not into that as much as I used to be. I've got that action figure set that I dig, and I occasionally pick up a book. I'm pretty happy with that.

Well, I'm building my collection up. I do have the phaser,comunacatior,tricoder,8x10 photos, two signed 8x10 photos, novels, comic books, 12in TWOK Spock action figure,Spock TOS costume, season 1 on blu ray, movie collection on blu ray,t-shirts and still adding.
