I know some don't go to the cons for comics anymore but there are still plenty that do. I am curious if anyone brought home some gems. I usually buy one key comic a year and will spend about 100- 250 on the comic depending on the condition. Last year I got a Daredevil #16 which was John Romita Sr. first comic that he drew Spider-Man. The comic was already CGC graded and has a score of 8.5 out of 10. Its a real nice comic for being nearly 50 years old. This year I was able to get one I have wanted for a long time. I got a Green Lantern/Green Arrow #85. Its the first anti drug story DC released. The story featured Green Arrows sidekick Speedy who was addicted to heroin. The cover had Speedy actually just finishing shooting heroin as he was caught by Green Lantern and Green Arrow. The art was by my favorite artist Neal Adams. I bought the comic ungraded and had Neal Adams sign it and sent it out to CGC for grading. I expected a 8.0 and that would have made me happy but I got a surprise and it was graded a 8.5. Both comics are the prizes of my collection so far.
