Waiting for the Black Friday deals. I want a sub to AMC+.

watching DVR recording of Night of the Lepus off of TCM from my Hulu Live before my Hulu Live sub expires tomorrow

Watched the Netflix movie A House of Dynamite. More like A House of Meh. I think the scenario of a nuclear attack can be fascinating to explore, but the way it was executed made it a chore to watch. It starts well enough and grips you. It's when you find out where the missile is headed that it starts to fall apart. The movie uses a narrative from 3 different points of view, repeating the 20 mins until the strike with each of them. The effect is that it prolongues the scenario for the entire length of the movie, and then... no conclusion. That's it, it's the entire movie. You don't even see anything happen, no aftermath.

being lazy all day today. binge watching Dog Soldiers and Bad Moon on season 7 of Joe Bob Briggs' Last Drive In on Shudder

Finished Manifest finally. The last season really dragged for me (I kept putting off finishing it), but I really did like the ending. It did go from being science fiction/speculative to having a more religious vibe to it towards the end that was off putting as the series didn't make it clear that it was that kind of show when it started.

I have the following shows going right now:

* Harry Potter Baking season 2
* NOS4A2 season 1
* Orphan Black season 3
* Penny Dreadful season 2

I bounce between them for the most part.

Hadn't rewatched V for Vendetta in quite a while, and figured now was the best time to do so.

It feels, like so many tales of this kind, almost more relevant than it was at the time of filming twenty years ago.

Yes, I know the comic is several decades older than that too, I'm speaking only of the film translation due to differences in the stories and my lack of memory related to details of the printed polemic. :)

Anyway, I still like the movie very much.

Fascists using a government-created "virus" to seize power? The "cure" for the virus being discovered right after the election? Camps for undesirables? Everything changing into a totalitarian nightmare overnight?

Nah, I'm not seeing the relevance.
