What about a GI Joe Silent Movie?

Years ago, decades ago, y'know last century, great googly moogly I am old... but there was a rush to get the new comic to the printers, or there was some mess up before they got to the Printers and the GI Joe comic that was published that month was without any text.

It seemed so inventive before they admitted that it was a fumbled catch off a cluster fuck...But one of the strongest failings of the recent GI Joe live action movie was that the actors were allowed to talk, only closely followed by a slap in the face of god fearing reason that the writers were allowed to write dialogue.

All fuss was unavoidable once the producers conceded on those 2 points.

So, imagine if the next flick was just an hour and 40 minutes of Ray Park bifurcating and defenestrating Cobra wankers, just killing and killing and killing between massive explosions and car chases... Now compare what you have in your minds eye to the travesty you had to sit through 2 years ago.

I have that "silent" issue of G.I. Joe. Great issue! It's an urban legend, though, that it was meant to have text and ended up being silent only because of a printing error. It was printed the way Larry Hama intended. The Comic Book Urban Legends column at CBR covered the issue some years ago.

It would have been nearly impossible for a printing error to leave off the lettering in an era when the lettering was done directly on the art pages before the pencils were inked.

they did 2 silent stories and one called SFX which only had sound FX in it.

the second one was in a Yearbook where Scarlett rescues Snake Eyes from the Cobra Consulate in New York with help from Storm Shadow.

"Had"? I had to go see Captain America, because it's an MCU movie, and I rather enjoyed it, as expected. I chose, however, to give G.I. Schmoe a wide berth. ;)
