"What A Twisted Web"

Today

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Basically a collection of animations, but I'm hoping it will keep growing to the point where it contains a plot, narrative, characters, etc..

I've been working on this project for a while, and while I have no dedicated website for it, I have most of my progress documented on a thread on Foundation 3d.. I also had a thread on the New Voyages forum, but their "other fanfilms" section doesn't exist anymore, so my thread is in limbo over there.

I'm approaching this on two fronts, on the one hand I have a thread on a graphic art oriented forum to get the feedback of other 3d minded people, and I'm creating a thread here to get the input of trek fans (for this reason I'm avoiding the 'trek art' forum, as that would fall into the first category)

It's also a good bet that no one here has heard of this project before, but give it a little time.:)

Project Outline: An attempt to bridge the gap between "In a Mirror Darkly" and "The Tholian Web".

To that end I've modeled several variations of Tholians, based on both the ENT and TOS versions, for lightwave.

(22nd century Tholian)

(Commander Loskene, 23rd century Tholian)

(22nd century Tholian, full body)

Andrew Smith's NX Class repainted to become the Terran Flagship, the I.S.S. Avenger:cool:

Which will be visible in a flashback to the massacre of the peaceful Gorn settlement at Cestus III by the expansionist Terran Empire:devil:

Which... in case you're wondering, means that barring any unforeseen difficulties in realizing a convincing character... there will be a Gorn (the return of Slar:lol:), he'll be the one doing the flashback-ing. Now we know why he doesn't particularly like Terrans;)

Little delay while I wait for a new computer to ship (which can't happen until I actually hit the submit button and pay for the thing:lol:)...

Good news is that I should be spitting out 2 or 3 animations a day once I get the thing running... 4 cores, 8 gigs:devil:
