There was so much stuff going on in the sports world today that it made for one of the more busier Sundays of the year. In fact, I think this might be my second favorite Sunday of the year (With Super Bowl Sunday coming in first) because of all the stuff that was on today. We had two races, an NBA playoff game, another Padre game that ended up being a 2 for the price of 1 deal, golf, the start of the French Open, and some other stuff.

I went to the A's game today which was an awesome game. Didn't particularly like the rowdyness and cursing in the stands though, but I guess that's what I get for sitting in the bleachers. I also saw some of the Indinapolis 500 and Coca Cola 600 and some of the Giants Doubleheader with the Marlins.

So, what were you watching.

I watched Lewis Hamilton win the Monaco Grand Prix on TV, then listened to the Doncaster/Leeds League 1 Playoff Final on the radio (Doncaster won and are now promoted , so I was happy).

So yeah - a good sports day, for me.

:D

I watched the Monaco Grand Prix. One of the best for years, with Lewis Hamilton putting in a stunning drive for victory and to reclaim the lead of the Formula 1 World Championship!:)

I would loved to have watched the Indy 500, but alas, it is on Sky which I do not have. Still Channel Five or Five US may repeat it some time this week, so I'll have to keep a beady eye out for it.;)

Other - I spent the day being a split second too slow to get my new puppy outside before he left hot fudge splatters all over my carpet.

Other - spent most of it watching the England v New Zealand & West Indies v Australia test matches (along with a break for my weekly trip to the local pool). I did catch a few laps of the Indy 500 though, including a couple of spectacular fender-benders (and plenty of yellow flags).

I had a great afternoon/evening. Watched the Indy 500 (the only auto racing event I ever watch), then saw my favorite baseball team, the Pirates, beat the Cubs with some help from the Cubs, then went and saw Prince Caspian with my family (and I thought it was the best movie so far in a summer full of movies I'm interested in).

Other- Went golfing until the storm hit, then ran to the nearest bar when the tornado warning sounded (I was up at my summer place, which doesn't have a basement). Couldn't watch any sports on TV because the storm knocked out the satellite, so we played pool and darts instead.
