What’s the last movie you saw in a theater?

STEPhon IT

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
The last movie I saw in the movie theater was 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE. What was your last movie you saw and how was it?

Hail, Caesar! was the last movie I saw in the theaters. I thought it was funny, I loved the great throwback '50s vibe the movie had, but it definitely wasn't the Coen Brothers' best work.

The Witch - just got back in fact. Unsettling piece of film making. Slightly hard work too, given the language used and its slow, deliberate pace. But worth it. Wonderful acting, creeping sense of dread and an interesting portrayal of the faith vs knowledge metaphor. The film felt like something Ingmar Berman might have made in his early career.

Not sure I would recommend it to others though. The remainder of the theatre appeared to be bored, restless and were giggling at points. I have a sad feeling that the uber-cynical world we now live in seems to restrict people's ability to immerse themselves in films these days.

Feels like it should have been made/released in the 70's as a companion piece to The Wicker Man

The trailer to The Purge 3 got a more positive response from the audience

Hugo - Wouldst thou like to live deliciously?

There are no nearby theaters where I live, so I don't get out to the movies as much as I'd like.

But I did manage to catch SPECTRE in a theater while visiting relatives this fall.

SPECTRE, around Thanksgiving.

I saw it again on DVD two days ago capping a re-watch of the entire Bond series.

Both times it was fine.

The Ten Commandments starrin' Charlton Heston and directed by Cecile B. de Mille. It was a Fathom Event last week at the local Cinemark.

Toy Story 2, last century. I enjoyed it very much, as it brought back memories of imagining the secret lives of my own toys.

Batman Vs Superman.
God, what I do for friends. I need to be more progressive on girl's night out. What also hurt was the price??? Good lord these tickets just gets more and more expensive.

I'm off to see BvS later tonight (in the sense that it is 4am here now, I have just finished 17 hours of work and i'm suposed to see it in 15 hours or so). If I wasn't being charged £3 to see it, I would wait for Netflix. But for a few quid, even if it is very very bad then the pocket won't have been scortched as badly as it might have been.

Hugo - Do you bleed? Yes, and so do our wallets, Batfleck

As stated in the respective thread, I was out to see BvS tonight, and I'm with Demiurge in enjoying it very much and walking out with a blissful grin. Or as someone else has put it, "this is the worst movie I'll rewatch 50 times ever".

Star Trek: Into Darkness. I'm hoping to see the up and coming Star Trek Beyond when it premieres.

Just back from seeing Batman vs Superman. (The two trailers were for X-Men and Captain America: Civil War)
