Weirdest movie you have recently seen.

Well today the number one spot for weird movie goes to "shadow in the cloud"

I'm not actually sure what the hell I was watching but it featured Chloe Grace Moritz punching a gremlin till it's dead, so there's that I guess.

Weird bloody movie but I stayed from start to finish.

I was half expecting the plot twist at the end to be that her baby was an actual gremlin.

"Sorry to Bother You".
Watch the trailer. Seems straight forward enough.
But then watch the movie go so far off the rails and normal expectations that it actually fully circles back to punch you in the face, leaving you dumbfounded and completely baffled at how this movie even got made.

And not in a good way.

Edited to add, though you can't tell at all from the trailer, it's also most definitely sci-fi/fantasy.

I got told about that one being really weird

Two that spring to mind are Black Bear, with Aubrey Plaza, and White Noise, with Adam Driver (not to be confused with the rather good Michael Keaton film of the same name). I’m afraid I can’t recommend either. Each started off good, then disappeared up its own metaphorical backside.

OMG, I saw that one in the theatre with a friend, and we both didn't know what we were in for. We kept giving ourselves looks the more the movie progressed. Weird is an understatement. At the end, we both wondered WTF we had watched. It's got a decent enough message, but I certainly hadn't expected the equine angle and going all-in on it.

Yeah, that was definitely a weird movie. I enjoyed it, but the story definitely takes a very strange turn once it gets going.
I watched Zardoz back a couple years ago, and there are very few movies I have seen or will see that are weirder than it.

Anguish. I don't want to even spoil the plot but it involves a slob of an optometrist who is compelled to steal eyeballs thanks to his psychic bird-loving mother.

OK I have to ask what's the story and why is it weird?
The story SEEMS to be an old chestnut, particularly with all the endless TV crime procedurals shoved down our gullets since CSI began. What I can say is that one of the five weirdest male actors in current Hollywood has arguably outdone himself here.....so much so he'd be perfect for a POWDER remake at this time. Another one of my most favorite '90s film actresses has a memorable role, even if she and the male actor seem to be going to the same demented barber. And it's the kind of film you may want to see twice to clear up certain points.....or perhaps study the Wikipedia entry after seeing the movie.

That may be cryptic to some, but there was once a time the less you knew going in, the more fulfilled you might be coming out. Maybe. I can say it's set in the '90s, so it's basically cell-phone free.

It's pretty tame compared to the other stuff here, but Buckaroo Banzai is one weird ass movie. Especially considering Buckaroo canonically exists in Star Trek.

Also, Buck Bokai is supposedly based off him.

I love that. From the website:

The name of this ship was mentioned in a list of ships that were launched from Earth, with destinations in or near to the Ficus sector, between the years 2123 and 2190. This list was displayed on Jean-Luc Picard's desk monitor in his ready room aboard the USS Enterprise-D. A legible version of the okudagram first appeared in the reference book, Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Continuing Mission. The list became legible to viewers with the remastered "Up The Long Ladder”.
