Weird bar soap habit

I have been doing this ever since I was a young boy, but when the bar of soap in the shower gets thin, I like to take a new bar of soap and "stick" the thin piece to it, thereby never having any soap go to waste.

You just kind of take the two pieces and squeeze them together, then you lather some soap and spread it around the seems of the two pieces. When that drys it acts like paste and keeps the two pieces stuck together.

I used to do that when I was younger, but then I got old and stopped paying quite so much attention to messing with little things like that. I have noticed, though, that if you take showers, and you just stick the new bar in on top of the old one, what you're talking about will kinda happen on its own, sometimes.

I just use it as long as I possibly can until it crumbles apart and then goes down the drain.

I don't use soap bars but soap creme. Easy!

I have always slapped the old on the new...unless I have guests arriving for a stay. They get a pristine bar of soap.

I didn't know that it is a weird habit.

I like it when the bars are different, so like I'll use an Irish Spring bar, and then stick that to a new Ivory bar. I like how the different colors blend together to form an instrument of malodorous destruction. I feel like an old time Alchemist when I do that, although I never end up with any gold.

I tried it a few times, but I never cared enough. I usually just let the old one drop to the floor.

Then again, I used to use a bar of soap until it was almost completely gone, so it wasn't really worth the effort of trying to save.

I drop the old one on the bathroom floor and wait for someone to slip on it *sniggers* Only, obviously, if I have run out of bananas!

I used to do this too. Now I use body wash.
