Weigel and not Clemmie?

So, how is it whenever the best and finest of Reno's sheriff's department needs to do a sting involving female bait they use Weigel instead of the far more attractive Clementine or even (later on) Kimball?

I know they're not the most effective cops but they all seem to agree how... "unattractive" Trudy can be and how she's not the sharpest tool.

So why use her for the stings?

Watch the movie they released with the commentary and then watch the deleted scenes with commentary.

Keep in mind that people from The State are the stars (Thomas Lennon, Ben Garant, Kerri Kinney) and the rest tend to get short shrift for screentime by comparison.

Because this is a comedy and Weigel standing on a street corner in her grannie briefs is funny?

Possible reason: The writers think its funnier.
Possible plot reason: Trudy agree to do it and Clemmie did not want to.
Reason they should listen to you: Using sex appeal may get more ratings.

Clemmie wears her uniform top unbuttoned and accentuates her chest, she's also pretty... "loose" so I doubt she'd turn down such assignments. ;)

Maybe the reason they use Weigel as bait is because she would be the one they would miss the least if a perp panicked and killed the undercover cop when they found out it was a sting.

Or maybe she's always the first one to volunteer when Jim asks for someone to go undercover.

Hmmm. Both make pretty good sense.

 Okay, if you want to retcon a reason that's fine. But I was serious in my post upthread. The State rules. I just wish they'd get those DVDs that were promised last summer on the shelves already!
