When Cyrano Jones is assigned to pick up every tribble on the station what is he supposed to do with them? Beam them into space I thought.. but Kirk expresses dismay at the thought that Scotty did that to the tribbles on the Enterprise.

Of course they would end up just as dead on the Klingon ship.

Well, I think most of the tribbles on K-7 were dead anyway from eating the poisoned grain.
