I write all my web pages by hand, but here's a list of free, WYSIWYG HTML editors. I hope that helps.

Netscape used to have a visual editor included. It put a lot of redundant code into the pages, so when I figured out how to edit the code, I had to eliminate a lot.
I got a "free" version of Net Objects - Fusion 10 a while back, I use V.8 here at work for our dept. website and it's fairly easy to use.

Bluefish is also fairly adequate.
