We now have one year left to live...

It's December 21, 2011 in New Zealand.

In a year's time the world will end according to those that interpret the Mayan calender as such.

How shall we spend our last 366 days? (2012 is also a leap year)

Since nothing is going to happen and it's all nonsense, exactly the same thing I do every year, ignore idiots predicting the end of the world.

I'm just looking forward to the Apocalypse Party that I will inevitably be having that night.

Oh I've already added myself to the Facebook planning page for the January 1st 2013 party. Fun will be had, photos will be taken.

This is our last Christmas, remember, so make it a good one! ;)

I can see why, next year, we'd want to get the end of the world out of the way in the days before Christmas, because on the day would just be embarrassing. Imagine Christ showing up for judgement day and everyone's saying, "Happy birthday!! Oh. Oh, you're here for the...oh"

What did you do in 1979, the last time this happened (that I can remember, anyhow)?

I was nine, and unable to go to any of the (few) parties my neighbors threw then. Of course, I didn't believe it then, any more than I do now.

I think I'm going to wake up on December 22nd next year and treat the whole day like it's the Zombie Apocalypse.
