It's called Star Trek: M33 - the story of the USS Impala exploring the Triangulum Galaxy and dealing with unknown dangers
We'd love it if you checked it out and let us know what you think!

Well, let me start by saying you'd probably get more of a reaction if this was posted in the Fan Art or Fan Production forums. The Fan Fiction forum is mainly frequented by trekkers who want to read and write prose Trek fiction.

That said, let me be honest:

The artwork is technically competent but in a style that never appealed to me. It reminds me of all those indepedent comics from the nineties that failed to interest a mainstream comics fan like me. I tend to like a certain level of realism in the adventure comics I read, like those drawn by Wally Wood or Alex Toth. Failing that, if the art must be unrealistic, I tend to gravitate toward charicature. This art falls short on both fronts.

As for the narrative, I think you missed a major opportunity.
You start off the comic with the captain hinting in his log that at least one of the worlds they first explored in this galaxy was so profoundly strange that it deeply affected Vulcans and Deltans and outright drove Humans crazy, and is apparently home to a race of tripedal hairy cyclopses, and instead of telling that story, you relegated it to a couple of pages of flashback just so you could start a rehash of The Deadly Years. What a waste.

I would suggest refocusing the story on those earlier experiences. I know it would mean a massive re-draw, but you would get a much more compelling comic out of it.

Wow thanks for all the very insightful criticism! We probably won't start over, but we'll try to still be compelling nonetheless.

I like it, and not just because Impala is a Nebula, and it being set in the same era as my own fanfic. Looking forward to reading more and finding out where the stories goes.

Thanks pal! Glad you picked up on the Nebula class ship - much underrated and under-utilized! Hope you'll keep following along with us!
