Watching good ol' Canadian hockey

Found something better than the NHL game to watch tonight. Instead of watching two American teams play hockey, I've decided to watch the only Canadian team still playing hockey this season.

Go Moose! Bring it home! :techman: :D

Kinda annoying that I can't watch it on any main network though. Way to show support for Canadian teams CBC / CTV / Global / TSN / Sportsnet. Thankfully, Shaw and MTS have it on their channels.

3 to 1! Comin' home for game 6! :D

Okay... 3 to 2. They got lucky after those few minutes of the players skating around beating the crap out of each other. :p

I haven't been to a single NHL game in years. However, I go to SEVERAL WHL games every year. The hockey's great, if not better, than NHL games in terms of value.

I'm excited because we may also be getting an AHL team nearby soon as well :)

Some good Vancouver prospects playing on that team, Schneider, Grabner and Hodgson.

We had an AHL team, they won the final, moved away.

To be honest, the Quebec Major Junior League team we have now provides better entertainment than the AHL teams did. I think they work harder. Half the guys in the AHL know they'll never be stars in the NHL, and the other half of them think they're too good to play "down there". In the Junior leagues they all still have something to prove.

When I was going to school in Lethbridge, I went to quite a few Hurricanes games. Granted, there wasn't a hell of a lot to do in Lethbridge to begin with, but I really got into it and looked forward to going to the games and catching them on TV.
