Was WD-40 in the engineer's tool kit?

I'm sure there's a small doohickey with a warbling light that one waves at a surface in order to cause an effect similar to the application of WD-40, but via infinitely more advanced and unnecessarily complex means.

In Gran Torino, Clint Eastwood says Duct Tape, Vise-Grip, and WD-40 will solve almost any problem - they are an essential part of any handy man's repertoire.

And a torch. You need a torch as well. Not a pansy-ass propane-torch either you need a minimum of an oxy-MAPP torch.

My "triage kit" for mechanical problems consists of the following:

Duct-Tape and Tie-Wraps
WD-40 and 3-in-1 Oil
Wacking Hammer
Tapping Hammer
Ratchet Screwdriver with 10 Tips
Adustable Wrench
Two Pairs Vice-Grips
Two-Gas Torch

All that fits in a nice small box. I can rig a repair in jig time with that, but it's just a rig. More serious problems require "serious" tools, and I have plenty of those. :)
