Was the Brigadier really a Swinger?

^ See, when Yvonne was a young receptionist at Torchwood back in the 80s she met an older man. A man in uniform. A man with a fine mustache...

This stuff just writes itself, it really does.

:guffaw:this isnt going to end anytime soon is it?

Poor Jack didn't have a car at the time. Never got invited to the parties. He heard that The Brig got freaky with two sisters from Godalming in the back of a Transit van and was inconsolable for a fortnight.

A Transit van?? The Brig has far more class than to be doing it in a Transit van!

^ See now I have mental images of velvet drapes and 1970's velour cushions. Like Austin Powers - only without any of the style or class...

'70s Britain. Three day week. Power cuts. Thatcher nicking the kiddies' milk. You gotta get your love squeezin's where you can - even if your velour is getting a bit tatty...

But The Brig makes it classy. You know it.

:D

Five-rounds-rapid?
"Just hold it steady...give it a little squeeze to fire one off...no need to be scared - it won't bite you, you know!"

Oh, god...this is going downhill fast...WHAT HAVE YOU PEOPLE DONE TO MY BRAIN?"

Listen, it's obvious the Brig and Liz were knocking boots on the side. Thus, when he inevitably couldn't commit, she left for Cambridge... ;)

BTW, does The Brig have any children?

Judging by this thread, I'd say he has more than he probably knows about...

Seriously, I don't know that it was ever mentioned.

Not officially, it wasn't until 1989's 'Battlefield' that it was confirmed he had a wife, let alone any other family. The straight to video spin off 'Downtime' does feature a daughter, Kate, and grandson, Gordon. That might not be considered canon though.

Gotcha! Thanks.

That reminded me...I don't know if anyone here read Marvel Comics Excalibur series (by writer/artist Alan Davis) back in the 80's, but the team was based in England. There was a government organization that oversaw any paranormal, alien, or superhuman problems. The name of that organization was called W.H.O. (Weird Happenings Organization) and was lead by an "Brigadier Alysande Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart" and her twin brother "Alistaire Stewart", who made a few mentions that they were "following in their father's footsteps". Seems Davis was a fan... :techman:
