ZiffMedia, the company behind FileFront, is bankrupt. They are closing down all of their servers, and ftp access to those involved has been denied. If you have files you want on there, go now and save it. Details are sketchy, but as much as this is clear: March 30th will mark the end of FileFront. Save what you can...

Check out the original message here.

If there's some place where this will be read more, please move it mods...

Boy you are just a regular bringer of bad luck.

First you accidentally sell your rights to the Hayden to some sweatshop in Asia now you've crashed Filefront. What next, eh?

filefront's a file hosting service for games. you can download demos and user-created content such as levels, mods and so on. ziffmedia is the company that owns filefront

FileFront made FilePlanet look like the slow download, ad laden, complicated login, premium service pushing, long file waiting garbage it is. FF will be missed.

Wow, that sucks. Ziff Media is one of those companies that managed to pull through the dotcom bust, as I recall. Sucks they're being nailed by this recession. :(

Ziff David Media was founded in the 1920s and owns stakes in various print, online and television media outlets. It is not a 90s "dotcom" company, though it is another in a long line of media companies that have been impacted by this recession. Hopefully they will reorganize successfully.

Oops. Well, I only really knew about them from their online presence. It never occurred to me they were firmly established before that. That's even worse. :(
