Everyone:
If you don't know, the Countdown Singers are a revolving group of studio musicians used by Madacy Entertainment to perform sound-alike cover versions of well-known songs. Their CDs are commonly found at Wal-Mart and other discount retailers.
They tricked me. I always check the labels on music CDs I buy, to make sure the music is really being sung by the original artist. In this case, however, the CD case in question didn't explictly say the songs were cover versions done by the *abysmal* Countdown Singers. I suppose it should have been a dead giveaway that the CD case had the words "Madacy Entertainment" on it but, once fooled, twice shy (or, in my case, pissed off).
So, here's my Good Samaritan deed for the day: Avoid the Countdown Singers at all costs!
