According to Neelix and Chakotay, warm milk is repulsive.

What madness is this? Do you agree? What foods/drinks do you hate?

Chakotay sounds like such a whiney, fussy eater. He doesn't like fried food, hates carrots and thinks pudding is slimey. How the hell did this dweeb of a flim-flam man become a Maquis fighter?

Pudding makes men into heroes.

I hate raisins. And I like cold milk. I hate hot milk because of the skim that forms on it.
I'd rather eat Neelix' leola root dishes.

Madness? Makes perfect sense. Warm milk = :barf: .

And I love pudding, but it was a disaster the one time I tried to make some. I somehow ended up with SCRAMBLED EGGS in the mix. Don't ask me how that happened.

It's been a long time since I drank warm milk. It was when I was a kid and I tried to avoid it even then. I don't hate it but I'm not particularily fond of it either. I rather drink chocolate, warm or cold doesn't matter. And most of all coffee! :techman:.

Pudding is OK!

As for Chakotay, one of his comments from the Voyager book "The Escape" has become a catchphrase for me:
"I prefer my coffee strong and nasty!" :bolian:

You like coffee? That makes three of us (Janeway, Lynx, Kilana) ;)

Warm milk is good for when you're having difficulty falling asleep, very yummy if you add some honey to it.

Other than that, I'll take water over everything else.

Warm milk- not good
Cold milk- very good
Pudding- OK
Coffee- I don't like coffee. I don't drink any hot drinks or anything with caffiene.

Coffee at work. Booze at home. That's my life. :techman:

(What I really can't stand is pop. I used to drink it all the time, now it's revolting to me. I feel physically ill just thinking about it. I can't believe I ever drank it in the first place. :barf: )

I don't think I can give an opinion on warm milk. I can't remember the last time I had any. Coffee is good...don't eat pudding what with being a diabetic and all that.

I get not liking milk in general but it seems odd to like it cold but not warm.

Chakotay sounds like a fussy six year old. People who have a list of foods they don't like shoudn't be allowed to run rebel forces. If I joined a rebel group, my first question to the leader would be... "What foods don't you like."

First off, milk is calf food... not Human food.
If you aren't breastfeeding as an adult, why the heck would you want to consume bodily fluids of another species intended for their babies (which was btw made by the cow's body for the sole purpose of turning a calf into a fully developed cow)?

Hint: it's because you grew up in a society that tells you its 'healthy' for you and acceptable (it really isn't because it contributes to animal cruelty [artificial insemination/rape of cows so they can be milked, along with their kids taken away from the since birth which are chopped up for food that generates health issues] and many people who consume milk also have issues with their immune system, not to mention, acidic reflux which in turn causes heartburn, and is quite easily linked to other health issues which seem to go away once you stop consuming milk and dairy - also, contrary to popular myths, plants can and do provide more than enough in terms of nutrients).

Is warm milk repulsive?
To me, it always was repulsive, even when I was a kid. Ranging from the smell to the taste.

So, I would imagine that Neelix definitely was up to something.
Plus, what was it that Riker said in early TNG?
Ah yes: 'We no longer enslave animals for food purposes'
And this: 'You've seen something as fresh and tasty as meat but inorganically materialized out of patterns used by our transporters'

So, for all we know, the 'meat' Humans eat in the 24th century could be entirely plant based, but 'designed' from the ground up molecule by molecule using plants as a basis - which btw is something similar being done in real life (without transporters) today through products such as the 'impossible burger' or 'beyond meat'.

Once again, lousy writing from those in charge of the series.

I prefer the Chakotay who said these wise words in the book "The Escape": I prefer my coffeee strong and nasty!

This whole post made me want to tear meat with my teeth and chew some saliva covered, juicy, bloodied steak.

And your post is what some meat eaters usually say in an attempt to elicit an emotional response in others (of course, I could be incorrect in this particular situation).
If it was... then I have to say its un-original - plus, you hadn't said anything I don't hear on a practically daily basis (oh the amount of ridiculous excuses people will come up with in order to justify eating other sentient beings while still claiming they are 'good people' and 'care' about animals and the environment - laughable contradictions).
