I bought a guitar a few weeks back and learned the tabs to the opening theme. please let me know what you think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fb0mfhf5jwA
Not bad for just starting out. I remember my first tune. It was the intro to "For Those About to Rock." This is what you need to do next: You should drop low E to D, and pinch the percussion intro on the D. Then hammer-on the continuous synth notes on the higher strings then take the single notes you're playing and turn them into chords and hammer the main theme on the lower strings in 3-note chords while you do the other parts with the other hand. I'll expect the new version in a week. And here is your practice lesson during the interim: http://youtube.com/watch?v=l_ZNi5ODXKQ Seriously, though; you're doing pretty good for such a small amount of time. EDIT: Oh, hey, if you don't already have it, you should get the "powertab" program and sign up with powertabs.net. You can get tons of tabs and stuff, and the program is great for learning, writing, and just generally awesome.
