Voyager inspirations

Star Trek Voyager is my least favourite of all the Star Trek shows. I still don’t mind it but have quite a mediocre view of it.

What are some elements that you like in Voyager that makes it stand out? I’d love to hear some positives that may draw me to engage further (pun intended).

The early years, from before they got past the Nekrit Expanse, the species felt like a different place due to somewhat lower technological abilities. It made the Delta Quadrant a little different, like how all the races from the Gamma Quadrant were REALLY technologically advanced. (Look at the Dominion, Wadi, or the Tosk hunters.)

VOYAGER had a lot of really high concepts... "YEAR OF HELL", "DEMON"/"COURSE: OBLIVION", "DEADLOCK", "BLINK OF AN EYE", and a lot of unusual space-dwelling lifeforms. ("THE CLOUD", "HEROES AND DEMONS", "TWISTED", "BLISS", etc.)

And despite the perhaps overuse of The Doctor and Seven, they were really great characters acted by excellent performers.
