Feel free to share images of the VOY cast in other media or in civilian cloths. I'll start with these two images of Picardo.

Wrong Docs, Doctor.

My own tastes go in a quite ... astonishingly ... different direction.

Yeah, first time I saw a cast photo with everyone in plain clothes, I was "Who's that?"

It's always a shock seeing Roxann out of makeup, she's gorgeous.

I think she looks beautiful in make up, too. :)
I really hate that rubber head they forced on Roxann Dawson. Hate it ... with a passion. But I did notice that when "they" dirty up B'Elanna for whatever reason she's down on the planet, she always ends up being very cute, like that. Then it dawned on me that it's because all of those smudges on her face and her wig shooting out in all directions actually distracted from the injustices visited upon her. Namely that headpeace ...

Do you mean the forehead ridges? I mean she kind of had to wear that since B'Elanna is half Klingon.

Did you know that they changed the look of the Trills, not to unduly mar the beauty of Terry Farrell?

Farrell has delicate skin and has to minimize exposure to the sun as well. That has to be a disadvantage for a model.

That top photo is one of my all-time favorites. If you didn't know that was a Star Trek cast, they easily could've been confused for a slick soap opera or police procedural. Like a cop show about an elite unit that investigates crimes of passion. (hello, Silk Stalkings and SVU)

Quite so. What I mean to say, actually, is I hate the DESIGN of the B'Elanna headpeace with a passion. I mean ... let's face it. It's rediculous, for a start. It looks like how people who can't draw will draw those "V" birds. Looks just like it ...

Or even like those knife smears I make on my toast when I spread on some butter. I don't want to reinvent the wheel here, but let's look at this series of images I've made and we'll take them one ... by ... one ...

Westmore's appliance draws your focus to itself, because it just smears across her forehead, like that. It really looks stupid.

The 2TF isn't exactly how I would do it, but for illustrative purposes, you'll notice that B'Elanna's eyebrows make a "cross" with the ridges going up her face. This draws attention to Roxann Dawson's dreamy eyes - where the focus should be! Not to the make-up. We KNOW she's Klingon, we can SEE the appliance on her. It suffices.

I wish Berman & Westmore would've been bold enough to bring back the "TOS" look, instead of all of these. Maybe have a smooth forehead peice just for "presence" to have her look a little more CaveWoman'ish, with those eyebrows. Allow her Human half to dominate.

That's it! You got it! The bottom photo, unfortunately, is more in line with the Corn Gold STAR TREK that Berman and his Team wanted VOYAGER to be like to "honour" Roddenberry's "vision" and all that. The top one shows the fact that we've got a very hip cast here and that should've been the direction this series went in. Like you say, Silk Stalkings in Space, or whatever. But ... STAR TREK's cool would have to wait for J.J. Abrams to find for us.

No, Kobayshi Maru, I tell you true: I did not know any of that. Nor did I know about Terry's allergies. It's very interesting to find out this kind of stuff.
