The strange thing is that Trek writers are usually good at building up relationships. But in this case it was more like 'oh no, Chakotay doesn't have anything to do during the last few eps, let's give him a love interest'.

A pity that the prairie dog avatar is too large for the 70 K restriction. C/7 is the only relationship between main characters in all 5 star trek shows I really hate.

^ Same here. I think Seven and Chakotay were at very different stages in their respective emotional maturity. I think Chakotay preyed on Seven's emotional innocence.
