I've pinned this thread as per usual, but I do wonder how fair/sustainable it is to keep pinning these contests given a relatively low number of competitors and even voters. I don't know. I have no particular issue either way (it's no work for me to pin stuff); just wondering what forum members feel about it. Of course, asking in this thread is a bit of a self-selecting bias, but still, would be good to get your thoughts.

Well, one could argue that not pinning the thread makes even fewer people entering it.

Also, the thing with the avatar threads is, that for the most part you don't have to post that much in them once you posted your entries. So even if many people enter the contest, the thread gets purged relatively fast from the first page. IMO it's fairly reasonable to pin the avatar threads.

But maybe you're right, running the avatar contest over at the TOS forum somehow makes me quite biased.

FWIW Like I said when I started this, it's really up to you. I appreaciate that you always pin and unpin the threads (and extremly fast ), but if you think it isn't fair to single out the avatar contest for pinning that's O.K. for me.

If you want to have a start to finish lead in this ranking at the end of this contest (there are only a bit over 2 years left until we're through with all episodes ) you better participate in the next one.
