Oops. Voted for 3 by mistake. Guess I should read the instructions first.

I made the same mistake, must have misread the thread title for the voting instructions. :alienblush:

Cheats! Both of y'all!

:p

All these folks votin' for more than they should have, and I still only have the one from Wicca...

About twenty-four hours left in votin', and the contest is still pretty close.

And, looks everyone has gotten at least one vote! So, ya know, yay for that.

:techman:

Alright, yeah, with just over an hour to go, I'd say its alright to call this one for Tuln and the Return of the Jedi entry!

Congratulations, Tuln!

I have to go to work but I'll post the new contest when I get back. For topis I was considering:
Be afraid, be very afraid horror or shocking films based on a sci fi premise (the phrase is from Cronenburg's "The Fly")
Classic sci fi literature (reprise) last year we had ths topic, stuff like Asimov, Heinlin, Clark
Modern sci fi stuff that doesn't take place in fantasy realms or the far future or far past, sci fi stories that take place around the era a film was made.

Any other suggestion?

I lke the idea of "contemporary sci-fi" (i.e. contemporary to the year it was made). Should be a challenge.

'modern sci-fi' sounds good. could we do 2001 or 2010 for example?

that's a good idea... scifi that's set in what's now the past or nearly the present...
