I actually didn't expect my 8th Doctor to get many votes... sadly he's not as well known as most of the others, so a lot of people don't recognise the character

I take into account avatar composition, as well as appropriateness of the avatar relative to subject matter. This is an avatar contest after all. If the entry violates one of my personal composition guidelines, it could be of my favorite thing ever and it would still not get my vote. Naturally, I can't speak for how anyone else votes.

I agree, though I did vote for Darth Vader.

But I knew that Spock was going to win, since he almost always wins. That's why in the entry thread I said that this contest might as well have been called "First person to post Spock wins."
