It's time to vote on the winner of the March 2011 Writer's Challenge. We had 6 entries for our challenge theme: "Epic (or not so Epic) FAIL!"

Here are the six entries in order of submission. You may vote for two. The winner will choose the theme for the April challenge. The poll closes at 2:00 p.m. CDT on April 5. Thanks to everyone who entered and may the best "FAIL" win!

Gojirob - "The Battle of Riverside"
DarKush - "Night Catches Us"
StefanSeitz - "Failure is Not an Option"
Rush Limborg - "Too Little . . . Too Late" - A Tale of Captain Ezri Dax
FleetCaptainFrost - "And the Skies Gone Dark Under Heaven"
TimmyWI - "Your Uncle's Shortcomings"

Wow! Pretty darn close!

So--out of curiosity, should this end up a tie between tales, will there be a run-off?

I voted on time and the correct # of times. Could someone mark it on th ecalendar, please? :)

Congratulations to DarKush, the winner of the March 2011 Challenge with his story, "Night Catches Us." Thanks to everyone who entered this month - we had some excellent entries.

We look forward to DK's April challenge theme.

Well done, DarKush! You certainly earned your victory. :techman:

May I say--this it the first time I got a clear, unquestioned second place. Last time, I seem to recall I was tied for second. (Not sure though...it's been a while.)

Hmm...here's to "tied for first" next time?

Thanks to everyone who voted and read. Special thanks to TLR and Rush for your kind comments. I will post my idea tomorrow at the latest.

You know, I never spent much time in this sub-forum until recently, but there was some good stuff here. DarKush, I haven't read any other works of yours, but those characters came through well in just this stand-alone piece. And Rush penned a nice little Ezri story too, which I liked since she's one of my favorites as well. :bolian:

I've spent a little time poking through old threads and previous challenges; lots of interesting stories to be had. Depending on what the theme is, I might try to write something for April... :D
