I don't know where this image of the Enterprise came from, but it doesn't look like an Anderson shot. It's probably from a CBS Digital re-master as aired on MeTV.
Yes, it's the CGI Enterprise. How ironic.I don't know where this image of the Enterprise came from, but it doesn't look like an Anderson shot. It's probably from a CBS Digital re-master as aired on MeTV.
Weird. The 'NCC-1701' on the engine nacelle is reverse image.

Yes, because they made up backwards decals to they could use the one good side of the model to represent the unfinished side by flopping the shot left to right. It was almost never used in production episodes. The most notable example of such a shot being in "Mirror Mirror".
re: Mirror Mirror. Cool how 1st Enterprise model was used. Big dish, different front nacelle caps, etc Wish they'd had time to do a little more (different hull decals, ets)
I like the quite subtle implication that perhaps the mirror universe was possibly few years behind on tech.

I agree, but I think the real reason they did it was that the only reversed-decal footage they had was from before the model was "modernized."
Life is good when, while in your comfy chair, a bikini'd Uhura is only a 1/2 spin away.
