Does anyone remember a TMP t-shirt with this artwork on the front, LINK - and that where the lights on the saucer section lit up.

I had one, but now can't seem to find any information.

They had that on a shirt? That is so awesome. That's always been one of my favorite representations of the movie-era ship.

    THANKS! :)

The shirt did look better in person, and did light up fairly well. Though I never had the nerve to ware it outside of the house..............LOL

I do recall that the quality wasn't the best - the decal started to peel off after a few months.

This looks awfully a lot like the photo that they used on one side of the six-VHS Star Trek Movie collection that they released in 1992 (?).

You know which one I am talking about?

It's a painting, not a photo. The same painting was also used on the cover of Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise and on a boxed set of TOS novels Pocket had in stores in the late 80s.

I can do without this turn-of-the-'80s apparel.

And I'll have to disgree with the ad about how it's "perfect for discos, conventions, sf parties, and school activities". ;)

Oh, come on! You can't picture yourself wearing that down the halls of your high school? :p

Despite the excessive 'eighties-ness' of it, I think that jacket is pretty sweet. Especially the font and logo on the back. Might be cooler if it was made with a less tacky-looking material and colour.

And later picture the results of a savage beating.

I was a Trek fan as much as anyone else in high school in 1976, but when some kid showed up one day wearing that blue jacket from the Enterprise model kit, I felt sorry for him.

    A light-up t-shirt?

Truly the eighties promised so much, and we have failed them.

The jacket would look a lot cooler with the girl modeling the front. :D

So do I. Enough so I did have an TMP Tee that was the same I do believe (although not the LED one), and being 9-10 at the time wore it so much it faded...:censored::brickwall:

I wanted one of those TMP LED jackets sooo bad when they came out. Of couse I was just a kid with zero quatloos, so forgetaboudit! I wonder what Spock would say the odds are of successfully hunting one down these days...
