Go Team Venture! Part one of the two part season finale!!

"The Family the Slays Together, Stays Together - Part One"
Brock Sampson is a marked man. Terminated from the OSI, stripped from his license to kill, and hunted by three of the worlds deadliest assassin, Brock has only one thing left: The Venture Family. And he wants them as far away from them as they can get. But not even Molotov Cocktease, Hunter Gathers, and a pair of friendly ex-OSI comrades can sever the ties that bind. And the Monarch and Sgt. Hatred are certainly aren't helping.

Adult Swim Video has a special cut of the episode up. Two extra minutes of footage from the episode is included in the online version of the episode. The televised version of the episode won't have this.

That was awesome. The only part that was great was the Brock's two sailing buddies. Each part was funny, but it didn't quite gel together. It did however set up a great joke later with "the bible being the only weapon you need."

I loved the throwaway line at the beginning about H.E.L.P.E.R. fearing the impending clash of man against the Brotherhood of Machines...great setup, I hope the payoff next week is even better.

So why is O.S.I trying to kill Brock? Is it because of the "termination" scene in the previous episode?

Yep. It was trying to learn more about his bodyguard assignment (in connection to the Orb) and he was listed for termination.

Poor H.E.L.P.eR., they just left him there. btw where is Dr O. during this episode on vacation? He couldn't possibly be on on mission with the Order of The Triad?! I was so hoping for the twist to be that the Monarch and Co. would have been forced to defend the Venture Compound from either Brock's Assassins or Sgt. Hatred, sadly we got neither, but it was still entertaining.

Can't wait for part 2!

Is it just me or is TVB getting really involved? You got to keep up with characters and the surprisingly deepening plotline. I'm not complaining, but it's certainly offering more than I expected it to ever.

The episode was good, but not great. The assassins lacked depth. It's like they were thrown together at the last minute because nothing better could be thought of.

The first season had a lot of threads in it too.

This is about as good as action comedy gets. I cheered my way through this one.

Absolutely can't wait for next week.

Another classic! I was slightly confused though; there wasn't a single mention of the Orb or Jonas Sr, leaving me confused as whether that really was the reason the OSI was after Brock. Tons of action, tons of humor, great stuff.

Given the total lack of any Jonas Sr mention/lead-in, I no longer feel that the finale will be about his return. Which is a little disappointing.

I agree it's ridiculous that Orpheus was off-screen the whole episode.

Eh, I actually didn't care much for this episode. There were some funny parts, but overall it fell flat for me. Most of the new characters didn't do much for me, particularly the jesus freak sailors and the new assassins. The only entertaining assassin was the one that got in to the batman conversation with Hank. Honestly it felt like the new characters were designed by the current writers for the simpsons. When the cocktease pulls out the dossier and says that three assassins are coming after him I was anticipating much better than what we got.

Shore Leave (Holy Diver) and Sky High aren't new characters. They were in an episode earlier.

I thought that parodied was absolutely hilarious. It goes along the same lines as the South Park Episode. Yeah, they might have found religion and prayed the gay away but deep down, they still are.

Flat episode, worse Venture season ender in the lot. Felt like a lot of unrelated jokes strung together.

Jonas Sr. May still return, that orb could do almost anything, but i also think (60-40 for)it'll be a McGuffin, be a music box or something, thats typical VB Fare, all that murder and adventure over an old paperweight

i watched shadow man 9 again and i had a thought, don't two of the sillhouette judged look like Sea urchin and Der Fladermaus from "the Tick"

Very well done. Finally some stuff with Hank and Dean, I"ve been missing those kids it's nice to see them up front and not in the background.

How did Hank get into the car so quick?
Rusty being his old self.
Poor HELPER, how much longer can he stay there?
The third assassin was the best I chuckled at the one that kept licking the guns, and how Brock got the second one was crazy.
The Monarch's holodeck
Seeing Hunter Gathers age spots during a lapdance ewwwwww.
Dr. Mrs. The Monarch waiting to seduce Brock
Don't really know what they are trying to do with Sgt. Hatred.

But that would have been a great twist to have the Monarch have to defend the Venture compound.
