Hi, I'm new here and not shore if this is the correct category to post this question in, but I'll give it a try.
I've got a framed holographic picture. Depending of the viewing angle you'll see either a 3D ferengi face, 3D klingon face or3D borg face. The frame is 20x26cm and the holographic picture is 12x12cm. It's nearly impossible to get a good picture of the hologram. It's greenish colors and very realistic and looks quite nice.
There's no company logo, sign or text anywhere.

With this description, does anyone know the approximate price or have you seen anything similar? Do you need more information?

The word is "sure", not "shore". A shore is where the sea meets the land.

Also, it seems a little distasteful to register here in order to get fans of Star Trek to perform a free valuation on a piece of memorabilia.

Sandoval: I'm sorry about the shore/sure-thing. English is, as you probably know, not my native language. And no, I don't see the problem in asking about something I haven't been able to figure out myself. Isn't this bbs all about information exchange?
I am a huge Star Trek fan myself and if I could help a fellow trekker with something like this, I would gladly do it.

It is, but I wouldn't say it's about registering just to get a free valuation of a piece of memorabilia with your very first post.

Welcome. It might not be a bad idea to try a Google search either. You could try search terms like "Star Trek" "collectibles" and "hologram" as well as "price" or "value".

Good luck.

Well, I don't base my acts of kindness on what other peoples' intentions are. I base them on my own desire to be kind. If he's gone, he's gone. It took me maybe three minutes to do something nice - certainly a worthwhile way to spend time IMHO.

So instead of doing any research for himself and looking to make a quick buck, lets just register at a Star Trek forum with no intention of using it other than finding some Trekkie to do the leg work instead.

There are acts of kindness and there is being used to do something that the person who posted this thread couldn't be bothered to do himself.

There have been at least three new usernames registered in the last week for the apparent purpose of posting three very similar messages regarding three separate pieces of memorabilia.

Just sayin'.

Indeed. I was reading another one earlier.

They're all massive Star Trek fans of course...

Hey guys, whatever. I don't feel especially used. What did it cost me? Like I said, about three minutes of my time. Why should I worry about the reasons the dude signed up? I don't have any particular axe to grind about why people sign up for web forums.

I'd have done the same thing for either of you, or any other user here.

And he still hasn't come back to say thank you or talk about Star Trek.

Some people...

Sandoval: I could write tons of what i think of your attitude, but since i'm a new poster here I'm not entitled to an oppinion, right?
I've been a reader only of this forum up until now I really do regret posting anything at all here. cblmc1296 is right, it is my loss since I no longer will be able to read posts in this forum without a bitter taste in my mouth.
Thanks to you who really tried, I'm sorry for all this...
(There's no point in pointing out any linguistic errors, perhaps my UT is broken.)

Oh, and by the way. I have proof for being a massive Star Trek fan. I've got a Star Trek tatoo on my left shoulder and I'm trying to communicate with a lesser intelligent life form. Is that enough? ;)

Don't let me stop you.

You don't have a UT. They're fictional.

Tut tut. Tatooists aren't necessarily a less intelligent form of life.
