Valiant Comics has announced that they are teaming up with Bat in the Sun, who are best know for a series of Batman fan films, and the Superhero Beatdown videos, to produce a live action digital series focused on their character Ninjak. and featuring appearances by other Valiant characters.
On the 28th they released the first image of Ninjak, but the CBR article mistakenly identifies the actor as Colin King, when that is in fact the character's name. I guess there's a chance they could have hired an actor also named Colin King, but searches on both Wikipedia and Yahoo didn't give any results for actors named Colin King.
Today they released a picture of Pwoer Rangers veteran Jason David Frank as Bloodshot. This article says that Ninjak is being played by Micheal Rowe, who previously played Floyd Lawton/Deadshot in the Arrowverse.
According to CBR, other cast members include Kevin Porter, Ciera Foster, John Morrison, Derek Theler, and Chantelle Barry, although they doesn't identify any of their roles.
Valiant and Bat in the Sun are expected to reveal more details and the first footage during a NYCC panel next weekend.
I've actually never read any of Valiant's stuff yet, but I am curious about it and this seems like it could be a good way to check out the characters.

I like Jason David Frank a lot, but Bloodshot is a character I've loathed since I first glimpsed him. Still, Bloodshot and Ninjak look decent enough, and the super powered beat down videos are pretty cool so its interesting to hear that the people who made them are working on this. I won't be watching because of a general dislike of Valiant Comics, but its definitely an interesting development. It makes me wish DC or Marvel would do something like this.

I'm thinking this is more of experiment to see if there is enough interest to sustain live action TV shows or movies. If that is the case then it's really not necessary for Marvel or DC, everybody already knows they can sustain TV shows and movies. I haven't read Valiant, but I'm interested enough to follow their news, and they have been talking for a while about doing live action stuff, but real news to come from them.

I've thought for a long time that Ninjak by far is their most exploitable character. The elevator pitch is pretty simple -- "James Bond is a ninja." If a studio wanted to make a Bond knock-off film, they could do worse than optioning Ninjak.

He does seem to be the character with the easiest premise to sell. They seem to be using him as the gateway character to bring other character into this series, and that does seem like a pretty smart move to me.

We have our title, Ninjak Vs The Valiant Universe, along with a description, and teaser trailer.

Looks pretty cool to me. I don't remember seeing Archer and Armstrong mentioned in the earlier articles, but I did see them there.
EDIT: CBR has more details from the NYCC panel
Two new cast members are mentioned in the article, John Morrison as The Eternal Warrior and Derek Thaler as X-O Manowar. It is being directed by Aaron & Sean Schoenke, who were also responsible for the Super Power Beat Down series. I really enjoyed the SPBD episodes I've seen, so it should be interesting to see how they a long form story driven project.

Well, at this point I'll believe it when I see it. They've announced a lot of stuff, but nothing has come of it so far. I mean, I'm not that interested, but I am curious how many of these things will actually happen.

Well, we already know Ninak vs The Valiant Universe is happening since we've seen a trailer. I guess it could still end up not being released, but we at least know they've made some real progress on it.

Remember the Buck Roger's trailer from the creator of Star Trek New Voyages? Similar situation, producer of online fan series got official license to other property. That was years ago and nothing came of it but a few small teaser clips released. A trailer being released does not mean much at this point.

Yeah, I saw that, but I assumed it was just a coincidence and not a joke.
