I joked earlier, but I feel your pain. My scratchbuilt Skylab suffered a similar fate. It could have been worse, your wife could have done it. That happened with my Voyager model (NASA, not Trek). That was a hard repair, but fortunately none of the PE brass pieces bent so it was just re-glue and touch up the paint.
