Man, remember when people thought the Discovery was going to be a hybrid Klingon-Federation vessel?
...Or perhaps of a Vulcan construction because of the hull plating color and vague resemblance to the IDIC symbol from the top? Yep...the good ol' days... :)

I don't see either Federation nor Klingon in that design, but it is really, really cool.

The bridge in the front and superstructure on top and to the rear of the main hull are both very Klingon (Vor'cha for the former, K'T'inga for the latter). The forward navigational deflector is Fed (as no Klingon ship has ever had a visible forward nav deflector since TOS' D-7). The warp engines appear to be more of a hybrid of the two, with the red bussard collectors (Fed) and the rest of the nacelles appear to be directly influenced by the Klingon D-4 from Enterprise. The main body also has a tinge of Vor'cha to it with the armor plating, curved wing look and lateral vents (none of which Fed ships have). Fed travel pod ports and RCS thrusters are also visible on the surface.

Beautiful work as always, Atolm! :techman:
