Some may have seen this before, but I was poking around my old files and found it and thought I would share again.

Make the engineering hull narrower, remove some decks from the primary hull, and make the pylons longer and the engines higher and it would be OK.

Use a mesh of the Sovereign-Class's engineering hull & deflector but keep the slight weapons / sensor emplacements at the sides you've improvised. Use the Interceptor-Class's saucer section if you can & you've got a kick-ass "borg-buster". Oh, & use the nacelles from the Ronin / Borodin-Class.
Seems To Me Like You Used Ideas From Voyager And The Original Enterprise, Not Bad, It's A Very Interesting Design. Just Needs A Little More Work.

I've no talent whatsoever when it comes to 3D stuff. Infact, this is my first serious, hard worked, design/render and I'm sure the program I am using (AC3D) has limitations in it. Nor do I have any idea how to do texturing correctly/well/at all.
Incidentally, this is a late 26th century ship equipped with a drive to propell it across intergalactic distances in a matter of weeks (rather than life times) the drive has the limitation that it can only be used in the compartively "more empty" spaces between galaxies and cannot be used within them -where conventional warp must be used. This ship's mission is to begin exploration of the Triangulum galaxy ("Star Trek: Triangulum" is the title of my fic.).
Dude, seriously... I may have to change the name of my ship. For the last two hours I was looking up info on "nearby" galaxies for use in my story, possibly of going into the... Triangulum galaxy. Then I looked here to see if you had responded to my post and well... yeah.
Or perhaps my "Calypso" not being a 26th century story/ship, may have gone to the Triangulum Galaxy on a mission in the past by other less practical means?

Maybe the fact that a previous Federation Starship(Calypso) was out there in
the past made it a desirable destination to test out the new drive you're using?

My favorite aspect of it would have to be the TOS style nacelle/pylon design matched with a 26th century vessel.
