US Open

Anyone watching. This has been pretty good this weekend and it's still going to continue with an 18 hole playoff tomorrow. I caught the final round today and it just seemed like a round of survival. Tiger looked really bad at first, and then as the round went on, it didn't seem like the knee was bothering him like it did at the beginning. Mediate and Westerwood had great rounds too and I think this is going to be a great playoff tomorrow. The shots that Tiger had yesterday once again were nothing short of amazing. I wish I was down south at Torrey Pines. My Roommate was and I'm jealous.

For some reason, I wasn't really into the US Open this year, but I did catch the end of Sunday's round. We came back from fishing and started watching just because it was on the tv, but we ended up really getting into it. That last putt that Tiger made was phenomenal! I played in charity golf tourneys on Friday and Saturday, and if we could've made a few more putts like that, we might have had a chance (not to win, but to get a skin).

I'll be following the final round. Seeing Tiger's final putt in the 18th yesterday was definitely nailbiting. A centimeter off, and we wouldn't even be talking about it right now!

Have the playoff in the background. Rocco looks late on his swing. 18 hole playoff is a long day...

Tiger is just unbelievable.

All kudos to the Golden Bear Jack Nicklaus. What he did was unmatched, and for those of us lucky enough to watch Tiger, puts what Tiger is currently doing in amazing context.

Wow...just wow. Usually I find golf on TV to be good background noise for nap-time but this is just phenomenal. Sudden death over-time in the US Open. Who would've expected it?

What a round, what a day. Congrats again, Tiger, but I gained a lot of respect for Rocco. He's personable, fun, and really classy. This is why I love sports so much. This might be the best golf round I've ever seen.

That was a hell of a Major - didn't get to watch today but saw Saturday and Sunday. Woods on one knee is still better than anyone on the planet.

The question is, how many Majors is this guy going to win?

I wonder how long his break is going to be. The Doctor recommended he didn't play this weekend but he did anyway. Hopefully he can get back to 100% and win a few more. He's only, what 32? There is still a ton of career left in him, and I think that is the scariest fact of all. Unless something really happens and this injury keeps him out for good or something, he's going to obliterate the record.

I wish I had seen that live. What an amazing finish. I don't even like golf and that was pretty intense from what I saw on ESPN.

The true story of how Tiger hurt his knee has come out.

It was caused by him kicking so much ass over the past 12 years

I remember early on in his career that folks were saying his back would be at risk with his swing style. I think he misses the British, and possibly the rest of the year. He has his sights on the long term goal.
