The Pakled story was written by Greg Cox.

Treason is out right now actually. I saw a few at Books a Million Saturday night. Still waiting on Nero and the Romulans trades. Don't get why they aren't out yet.

I can't wait for Seven Deadly Sins, and Unspoken Truth. I've been looking forward to them since they were first announce.

I admit I'm a bit behind on the discussion about the carnage wrought by the nuTrek books being pulled, but isn't there still going to be a hole in May? Why are they publishing two books in March if that'll leave a gap later? (Not that I mind, I'm just curious.)

Probably because they were already in the pipeline for a March release before the suspension of the Abramsverse books and it was too late to change it. Publication months are decided well in advance, and the publisher has an obligation to book vendors to get a book on the shelf at the promised time, or money will be lost. It's not a simple matter just to move or postpone a book.

Among IDW's releases in March is the Alien Spotlight II trade paperback, which includes the following:

"Tribbles" by Stuart Moore and Mike Hawthorne
"Klingons" by Keith R.A. DeCandido (who?) and JK Woodward
"Romulans" by Ian Edginton and Wagner Reis
"Q" by Scott & David Tipton and Elena Cassagrande
"Cardassians" by Arne & Andy Schmidt and Augustin Padilla

I went into Barnes N Noble last night and didn't see either Nero or Romulans out but I did check to see when they would be and apparently Nero had been out but Romulans didn't get a lot sent out. They actually show all of the stores that have them. I just ordered both of them so I'll wait.

The thing is, "Romulans: Pawns of War" is the first IDW omnibus collection to contain a segment of new material! (A Byrne adaptation of the TOS episode, "Balance of Terror".) So even people who don't normally get the trade reprints may well pounce on this one.

I find it entertaining that David, who lives in another country across an entire ocean, has his author's copy of Seven Deadly Sins, whereas I, who live in the same frapping city as the publisher, do not. :guffaw:

It's to balance out that you get the Magazine, which is a UK publication, first...

And, come to think of it, don't you live in the same *city* as the publisher, never mind country...

^ Uh, yeah -- that's why I said "city" right there in the text you quoted. :D

(Having said that, the warehouse from whence the books are shipped is two states away in Pennsylvania, but never mind....)

I could have sworn it said country - but I was posting before the first coffee of the day...

No more posting from a drug addicted forum member.

That'd leave pretty much just you and Christopher.

Good luck.
