I am now the proud owner of "Star Trek 365: The Original Series", a massive house-brick sized book filled with big colour pics and lots of info. Written by Paula M Block & Terry J Erdmann, introduced by Dorothy "DC" Fontana and published by Abrams Publishing (no connection to JJ).

I'll be getting the movie novelization and yes I'm glad I put off getting it when it came out last year too.

I picked up paperback omnbius Out of the Cocoon from Borders this morning. I'm not gonna be ready for read it for a while, but since Trek books tend to only pop up on the shelves near me for a fairly limited time, I tend to get things as soon as I can.

Way back in May, I blogged about this book coming and the publicist contacted me, offering to send me a free copy when it came out. I expected it might arrive before any shop copies, but when nothing came I bought a local copy and emailed the publicist a reminder.

My complimentary copy arrived today - and I assumed I'd be passing the duplicate on to a friend - but it has a shiny, not matte cover, a variation of the back cover copy, extra blue on the spine, and warnings that it's an "advance reading copy from uncorrected proofs" and "not intended for resale". Cool!

Slightly OT- have they released the schedule yet that details what's tentatively scheduled for next year yet? I figure I may as well add that too...

Thanks... are any of the authors of the ones where it doesn't say allowed to chime in and say which series the books are in?

There was another site last year too that had something... trekmovie or something? It had an official release and some brief synopsiseseseses... :p Maybe it's too early for that one...

Watching the Clock is featuring the Department of Temporal Investigations and I think doesn't really fit into any specific series, but I'm sure Christopher will be around soon to clear that up.

Cast no Shadows is a post Star Trek VI TOS novel featuring Valeris and Elias Vaughn.
