United Airlines Breaks Guitars

I just read this article and think it's awesome!

A Halifax-based songwriter has used a country-rock protest song to air his grievances with United Airlines -- the company he accuses of breaking his custom-made guitar -- and to draw continent-wide attention to its customer service practices.

Dave Carroll's song, "United Breaks Guitars" tells the story of how his $3,500 Taylor guitar was allegedly broken by baggage handlers who threw it off a plane last year.

You have to wonder why it takes half a million views of a video on YouTube to get their attention.

One complaint is just noise to them and totally irrelevant. A million people suddenly realizing that you do a shit job at customer service.... that's a serious bite out of potential and real revenues.
