Uniforms/Clothing in vector graphic format Request

Hando

Commander
Red Shirt
I would like to ask a good soul to create all Starfleet uniforms (from 22nd to 31st century, alternative universes included) and some civilian clothes (like Q’s 21st century gown) in vector graphics. Basically as those that can be found on Spike’s page or in Star Trek Magazine and Star Trek Fact Files. They should have a universal size and be depicted at the same angle.
Finally if the good soul were then to share the wonderful creation with me in a vector graphic file so I could further play with those clothes. If I were artistically inclined I would do this myself, but alas…
Of course I shall never forget the person who would do the actual work and always name him once I were to use them.

If you think that this is too much work or it is against your beliefs, or against any rules, then just tell me to stuff myself.

Stuff yourself! That's a lot of work, especially to ask for a mere thank you.

On the other hand, if you fought through the learning curve and did this yourself, by the time you got ALL of those costumes illustrated, you'd be a master in the field. Sure the first few might be pretty terrible, but you can't get good at anything before first sucking at it. And by the time you were finished, you could go back and redo the first ones.

Do it yourself, bro! You'll learn a lot and have fun doing it. I'm sure we all look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Encouragingly,
--Alex

Sorry, but no one in their right mind would do all that work for free. I wouldn't do it for less than $15 an hour, and it would take no short amount of time.

I second Albertese's encouragement to learn to do it yourself. Download a vector drawing program like Inkscape, follow some tutorials, and start doodling. You can use my naval uniform template as a starting point if you'd like, I made it with the ultimate goal in mind of making my own Trek uniforms, but never got around to it.

I have dabbled in Vector art for years, and some programs are easy to learn, some are much harder. But I agree with the above posts. I mean asking someone to do all that art for free it just madness, Myself being a starving artist, I know that I love doing art, and I might do one or two illustrations for free for a family member or a good friend, but even though we love what we do, it's a talent that shouldn't be free. You don't see all other forms of artists doing pro bono work. Actors, Musicians, they call themselves artists too, and some of them are paid a ridiculous amount of money for the crap they produce, as for a physical and digital artist, we want to share our art. But we also want to get paid for it.
